<image:title>Kindred Connections - Akashic Mandela - Wendy — The Akashic Mandela</image:title>
<image:caption>I first found Wendy, known as the Akashic Mandela, more than ten years ago, and her work has stayed with me ever since. My first experience with Wendy was a reading paired with a completely unique piece of customized artwork. She worked with old dictionary pages, intuitively landing on a word that became the center of the piece. The word she found for me was Guide. It felt remarkably fitting. The reading itself was fascinating, but what has kept me returning to Wendy over the years is how incredibly empowering her sessions have been. Each time I’ve worked with her, I’ve walked away with something to contemplate, something to integrate, or simply a deeper sense of trust in my own path. And that artwork? I cherish it dearly. It has traveled with me through many places and chapters of my life, and I still carry it with me. I’ve returned to Wendy for several readings over the years, and I continue to be fascinated by the way she works with the unseen—the stories, patterns, symbols, and threads that can sometimes be difficult to access through ordinary means. If you’re curious about the Akashic field, seeking insight into your own story, or simply feel called to explore what might be waiting beneath the surface, I highly recommend Wendy. Some encounters become part of your story. Wendy’s work has been one of those for me.</image:caption>

<image:title>Kindred Connections - Lindsay Bane - Childless Not By Choice</image:title>
<image:caption>I met Lindsay through my death doula cohort, and she has taught me so much—not only about what it can mean to grieve being childless not by choice, but about the many layers of grief we carry when life doesn’t unfold the way we imagined it would. Lindsay hosts an incredible podcast that gathers personal stories from women who identify as Childless Not By Choice (CNBC). It creates a space for people within the community to feel seen and heard, while also offering those of us outside of that experience an opportunity to listen, learn, and better understand a kind of grief that is often overlooked or misunderstood. Through getting to know Lindsay, I’ve also learned from her experiences with the suicide of a friend and the complicated grief that follows. She is incredibly resourceful, thoughtful, and willing to talk openly about things that many people would rather avoid. I especially appreciate Lindsay’s outspokenness around the issues she cares about. She brings honesty, curiosity, and a willingness to name the uncomfortable things—and I value that immensely. If you are navigating the grief of being childless not by choice, or if you love someone who is, Lindsay’s podcast may offer recognition, companionship, and a place to begin listening more deeply. I highly recommend her work. Listen to Lindsay’s podcast on Spotify</image:caption>

<image:title>Kindred Connections - Nova Campbell - Astrocartography & Death Work</image:title>
<image:caption>I first discovered **Nova Campbell’s** work through Narinder’s podcast, and I was immediately fascinated. I had already been dabbling in astrocartography on my own, curious about the ways our relationship with place might be written into the stars. But Nova brings something much deeper to the conversation: she weaves astrocartography together with her work as a death worker, and her own story and way of seeing the world drew me in. We recently had a session together, and it was incredible. There was something both illuminating and reassuring about seeing the places I’ve been intuitively drawn toward reflected back through my chart. It gave language and context to things I already felt in my body—and opened up new questions about where I might go next, and why certain places seem to call us. I’m already looking forward to another session with Nova. My next exploration with her will be looking backward: understanding some of the places I’ve already lived and traveled through, and what those places may have held for me. Nova is also keeping a little field log of how the places she reads for people actually unfold over time—which I absolutely love. As I begin my own **Field Notes** travel journal, I’m fascinated by the possibility of following these threads between map, chart, intuition, experience, and place. If you’re wondering **where in the world you might feel most aligned, trying to understand a place that has already shaped you, or simply curious about your own relationship with geography and the stars**, I highly recommend exploring Nova’s work. She’s top-notch—and I’m excited to keep following the map with her.</image:caption>

<image:title>Kindred Connections - Narinder Bazen - Founder of Nine Keys School of Death Arts • Death Arts Educator • End-of-Life Guide • Mentor</image:title>
<image:caption>I first encountered Narinder and her work in Atlanta, and I was immediately captivated. I quickly became a devoted student of her teachings, attending as many workshops as I could—from creative and artistic explorations of death to practical home funeral demonstrations. Somewhere along the way, what began as fascination became something much deeper: I recognized a calling. That calling eventually led me to complete The Nine Keys, Narinder’s immersive nine-month Death Arts and end-of-life guide program. The experience profoundly shaped the way I understand death, dying, grief, ritual, and what it means to accompany another person through one of life’s most sacred transitions. Narinder has a remarkable gift for bringing death out of the shadows and back into conversation with life. Her teaching weaves together practical end-of-life knowledge, death literacy, creativity, ritual, community, and a willingness to explore the places our culture often avoids. She is also fabulous to work with—knowledgeable, creative, generous, and deeply committed to helping others discover how this work wants to take shape in their own lives. Beyond The Nine Keys, Narinder offers workshops, one-on-one consultation, mentorship, and business development support for those finding their way into death care and end-of-life work. For me, Narinder's teaching became more than an education. It helped illuminate a path that was already quietly calling me. Her work and The Nine Keys hold a very special place in the roots of my own work with Shamamama.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Zema Love Fire is one of those beautifully multidimensional people whose work brings together healing, spirituality, creativity, music, food, and ceremony.I have personally worked with Zema through Reiki, both for my own healing and with her as a teacher and guide. She brings a depth of knowledge, intuition, and heart to her work that has stayed with me throughout my own spiritual and healing journey. Zema is the Founder and Director of the Indigo School of Light, an ordained minister, healer, Reiki Master Teacher, holistic chef, published author, medicine musician, and spiritual teacher. Her healing practice draws from a wide range of energetic and vibrational traditions, including Usui, Kundalini, Violet Flame and Violet Rose Flame Reiki, chakra and meridian work, aura clearing, divination, Acutonics, crystal healing, heart activation, and other forms of spiritual and energetic support. She also has an incredible voice. Through medicine music, prayer, sound, and sacred ceremony, Zema creates some of the most beautiful and heartfelt gatherings I have experienced in and around Atlanta. There is a warmth and reverence to the spaces she creates that invites people to connect more deeply with themselves, one another, and Spirit. Her work extends into another form of medicine I deeply appreciate: food. As a holistic chef, Zema understands nourishment as something that can care for the body, spirit, and community, bringing intention and love into what she prepares and shares.Zema is a true kindred connection for me—a gifted teacher, healer, artist, and ceremonial guide whose many offerings are ultimately rooted in helping people reconnect with their own inner wisdom and light.</image:caption>
